We got curious. As both Lena Dunham and Richard Aoyade write, direct, and act, have they been involved in any other island-based adventures?
Richard Ayoade:
As Travel Man, he’s also visited Madeira (with actor/writer Robert Webb), Ibiza (with actor Jessica Knappett), Iceland (actor Jessica Hynes), and Copenhagen (with his old IT Crowd buddy, comedian Noel Fielding), and Hong Kong (with actor Jon Hamm.)
Lena Dunham:
You could say Girls is an island show, as it’s set in New York City. And you could say Industry, the new BBC/HBO show she’s directed season openers for, is also an island show, as it’s set in London, England. But her pinnacle of island glory remains that orange golf outfit she rocks with Travel Man on Tenerife.
