The Wilds takes place on a beautiful south Pacific island ... with lots of mystery.

“The veil of obsession was lifting. The world I had narrowed down to one was starting to repopulate. ‘There’s no better place to grow into yourself.’" - One of the survivors, speaking of being marooned in The Wilds.

Ratings

We have ratings for all the shows and movies we watch.

To make sure you can find exactly the island show that's right for you, we answer two questions for each show:

Does this show make me feel like I’m actually on the island? That's our specialized Island Rating. No other show gives you that!

Do we recommend this show? Our Star Rating lets you know if we loved a show or not, regardless of the island.

***

Island Rating

Gemma: Splashing in the Surf (5 out of 5)
Totally there.

Dave: Splashing in the Surf (5 out of 5)
The feeling of being on an island is quite visceral. We're right there, feeling all of the trauma these young women experience as they find themselves in this place.

Star Rating:

Gemma: 4 out of 5
Seriously bingeable.

Dave:  4.5 out of 5
Very watchable. The acting is quite compelling and the production is well executed. The juxtaposition of scenes on the islands to before and after really drew me in. I would heartily recommend the series.
